Safety and preparation
Learn how to stay safe on the water, including how to use a kill cord, life jackets, and communications equipment. You’ll also learn how to position your crew and ensure their safety.
High-speed handling
Get behind the helm and learn how to handle your boat at high speeds. We’ll cover topics such as trim, stability, driving position, crew safety, waves, and quick stops.
Low-speed handling
Learn how to navigate close quarters, stand off from other vessels, and deal with wind and tide at low speeds.
Rules of the water
Boat etiquette, signs, and managing busy traffic are all essential for safe boating. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
Boating skills
Anchoring, berthing, handling lines, and mooring buoys are all essential skills for every boater. We’ll show you how to do it all with confidence.
